Noshing on the road

I really love cooking and feeding everyone, (thanks Jewish heritage) and when we camp I spend most of the time cooking over the fire and preparing food. I have been preparing very quick and simple one-pot dinners that have been tasty and satisfying.

At home I prepare meals with lots of ingredients and steps, now I think I should start making simpler recipes at home.

I have been getting a few fresh vegetables at farmers'

markets if they are nearby or the grocery store. In Salem, there was only one small store within walking distance and I wound up with fresh Polish egg noodles, Portuguese sesame rolls, soup mix, and frozen spinach. It was a cold windy night and that turned out to be the perfect dish. It was also $7.26. We love dining out but have decided to go on this journey and it requires a budget.
